In a comprehensive survey conducted by K-12 Techno Services, 87% of Indian parents expressed support for integrating technology within schools. However, only 28% prefer technology strictly for educational purposes. The survey, which encompassed feedback from over 3,000 parents, sheds light on the evolving dynamics of technology in education.
The findings also reveal a significant gap in awareness regarding educational policies such as NEP 2020 and the Right To Education Act. While activity-based learning garners recognition from 60.47% of parents, a portion remains uninformed about specific educational policies, highlighting a critical communication gap.
Additionally, the survey underscores a mismatch in communication preferences. While 74% of parents favour weekly or monthly updates, many schools adhere to daily updates. This discrepancy presents an opportunity for schools to refine communication strategies, aligning better with parental expectations.
