In Jharkhand's Dumka district, a disturbing incident occurred as 65 students from a government school fell ill after consuming a mid-day meal on Friday, according to officials.
Reports indicate the presence of a dead chameleon in the meal, leading to cases of vomiting among the students.
The affected students were quickly transferred to the Masalia community health centre and are now in stable condition, stated Block Development Officer Azfar Husnain. Authorities have launched an investigation into the matter, confirmed Tongra police station in-charge Gurucharan Manjhi.
