Protests Erupt After Teacher Molests Student in Nanded

A 16-year-old girl from Nanded, Maharashtra, was reportedly molested by her teacher at a private coaching center, leading to a public outcry. The incident, which occurred on Monday, triggered local residents to vandalize the facility in protest.
The girl's complaint led to the arrest of the accused, 48-year-old Nagesh Jadhav, under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (Pocso Act). According to the Bhagyanagar police, the molestation occurred on September 2.
As the news spread, the local community took matters into their own hands, ransacking the coaching center. So far, no complaints have been filed regarding the vandalism, but authorities have stated they will initiate an inquiry if the owners do not file a complaint.
