In a shocking discovery, police have recovered the skeletal remains of an elderly couple and their daughter from a house in Nehroli village, located in Maharashtra's Palghar district. The remains were found after local residents reported a foul smell emanating from the locked house.
Senior Inspector Datta Kindre of Wada police station confirmed that the skeletal remains of two women were found in the drawing room, while those of a man were discovered in the bathroom, indicating that the bodies had been decomposing for a significant period.
A case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections for murder and concealing information has been registered against unidentified persons. Preliminary information suggests that the elderly couple and their differently-abled daughter lived in the house, while their two sons resided in Vasai. The incident has sent shock waves throughout the village.
