The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) announced on Thursday the postponement of the Maharashtra Gazetted Civil Services Combined Preliminary Examination, initially scheduled for August 25, in response to protests.
The recruitment body shared this update in a post on social media platform X, promising to announce a new date soon.
Job-seekers have been protesting in Pune, arguing that the exam date clashes with the Indian Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) clerical exam and demanding the inclusion of 258 agricultural department posts in the exam. Despite the postponement, the candidates plan to continue their agitation until all their demands are addressed.
