Delhi Education Minister Atishi inaugurated a new four-storey academic block and multipurpose hall at a government school in Dilshad Garden on Monday, aiming to transform education in north-east Delhi's densely populated areas.

In her address at Sant Eknath Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, accompanied by Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel, the AAP minister expressed pride in the new infrastructure and reiterated the Kejriwal government's dedication to delivering quality education to all children.

Atishi highlighted past challenges faced by students, who studied in makeshift tents and overcrowded classrooms. She noted that the new development will benefit children from areas like Dilshad Colony and Tahirpur, offering improved educational facilities. The state-of-the-art block includes 24 modern classrooms, activity rooms, a laboratory, a library, and a lift, while the 300-seating capacity hall will support various co-curricular activities.

Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel praised Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for their leadership in revolutionizing Delhi's education system, emphasizing the government's commitment reflected in the consistent 25 per cent budget allocation to education over the past decade.
