Class IX Student Attacks Classmate with Sickle

A student of Class IX attacked his classmate with a sickle, inflicting head injuries over a disagreement about spilled water. The injured boy is being treated at Tirunelveli Government Medical College Hospital, while the assailant has fled, according to police.

A Class IX student allegedly attacked his classmate with a sickle, causing head injuries, according to a senior police official on Friday.

The attack stemmed from a dispute over water being spilled on the attacker during school hours on Thursday. The assailant reportedly brought the sickle from his home and attacked his classmate the following day.

The injured boy is receiving treatment at Tirunelveli Government Medical College Hospital. The attacker fled the scene, stated Nanguneri ASP Prasanna Kumar.
