A delegation from the RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) met with the chairman of the Centre's high-level exam reform panel on Thursday, presenting suggestions on enhancing the National Testing Agency (NTA)'s functioning.

In a letter to panel chairperson K Radhakrishnan, the students' union advocated for conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) in two phases, developing advanced infrastructure for exams, setting up centers at government institutions, and ensuring adequate staffing of permanent employees at NTA.

The ABVP emphasized the need for administrative reforms to ensure exam transparency and restore student trust in the NTA. They suggested uploading OMR sheets to the NTA website.

ABVP national general secretary Yagywalkya Shukla stated that the union, after consulting students from various disciplines, compiled 42 suggestions for NTA reforms, which were submitted to the high-level committee.

The Centre established a seven-member panel, led by former ISRO chief Radhakrishnan, following reports of alleged irregularities in NTA-conducted exams. The panel will recommend examination process reforms, enhance data security, and review NTA's operations.

Issues like paper leaks in NEET-UG and the compromised integrity of UGC-NET exams prompted the cancellation of these exams. The NTA subsequently announced new dates for some exams.
