Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday inaugurated the ten-day 39th Chakradhar Samaroh, a music festival aimed at celebrating Indian classical music. Speaking at the event, CM Sai commended Maharaja Chakradhar's contribution to the art form and assured full government support for preserving local cultural heritage.
In a significant announcement, Sai revealed plans to open a music college in Raigarh, further solidifying the region's status as a hub for classical music. The festival, backed by Raigarh MLA and Finance Minister O P Choudhary, has grown substantially over the years.
CM Sai also spoke on various government welfare schemes, including increased paddy purchase rates and financial transfers to women under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. The event also saw the release of booklets on rock paintings and Chakradhar Samaroh, as well as a coffee-table book on ancient scripts by Vinay Pandey.
