Schools Closed for Kanwar Yatra in Pilgrimage City

All schools in the district are set to close from July 27 to August 2 due to the influx of Shiv devotees during the ongoing Kanwar Yatra.
The pilgrimage began on Monday, with thousands of devotees arriving in the city to collect the sacred waters of the Ganga river.
District Magistrate Dhiraj Singh Garbiyal announced that both government and non-government schools, including Anganwadi centres from class 1 to 12, will be closed to manage the expected surge in crowds.
