NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule on Thursday urged the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to examine alleged irregularities in the NEET (UG) medical entrance test and other examinations.

Speaking to reporters, Sule noted that despite technological advancements, issues continue to plague exam conduct like the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate). "The government is insensitive towards the issues of farmers, women, and students. Frequent irregularities in the NEET, talathi exams, and now UGC (NET) exams are occurring. With advancing technology, why do these glitches persist? Form an SIT to probe these irregularities," the Baramati MP demanded.

Sule added that while occasional issues are understandable, the frequency of these problems is alarming. She also highlighted a rise in crime rates, particularly hit-and-run cases and offences against women, questioning why most complaints against the government are related to the home department.

Earlier, Sule mentioned on X that the NDA government had cancelled the UGC-NET exam over concerns of integrity and fairness. "This raises a critical question: Can the NDA government truly ensure fair examinations, or will frequent cancellations continue due to widespread fraud? Despite previous claims by the NDA that no NEET papers were leaked, further arrests by Bihar Police suggest otherwise, yet no action has been taken," she said.

She stressed that the repeated failure to ensure exam integrity has shaken the faith of the youth, who are already dealing with high unemployment rates. "People no longer trust the government machinery to secure their family's future through proper study, a safety net built by the UPA government and destroyed by the NDA over the past 10 years," Sule lamented.
