New Delhi witnessed a significant celebration as the Master Mentors Geo-enabling Indian Scholars (MMGEIS) program marked its first milestone. Launched by the Centre for Knowledge Sovereignty (CKS) in collaboration with Esri India, this ambitious initiative began with 1000 students in September 2024 and has now expanded to include around 4000 scholars.

The ceremony at the India Habitat Centre brought together students and dignitaries to honor this achievement. Under the mentorship of luminaries such as A S Kiran Kumar, former Chairman of ISRO, participants will receive vital guidance necessary to thrive in the geospatial field and contribute to India's burgeoning geospatial community.

Agendra Kumar, Managing Director of Esri India, expressed pride in the program's success, noting its crucial role in developing geospatial skills for India's growth. Vinit Goenka, Secretary of the Centre of Knowledge Sovereignty, highlighted the students' dedication and the transformative guidance they receive. The event also featured an interactive session where students engaged with mentors to discuss aspirations.
