Maruti Suzuki India has announced a new milestone with a record-breaking monthly sales figure for October. The automaker reported selling 2,06,434 units, marking a 4% rise compared to last year. This sets a new benchmark for the company, demonstrating resilience in a competitive automotive market.

Despite a 5% decline in domestic passenger vehicle sales, amounting to 1,59,591 units against 1,68,047 units last October, the company has seen notable success in the utility vehicles segment. Sales in this category, including models like Brezza and Grand Vitara, climbed to 70,644 from last year's 59,147 units.

While sales in the mini and compact car segments decreased, MSI recorded a substantial boost in exports, with figures rising to 33,168 units compared to 21,951 units the previous year. The shift in focus towards robust export strategies and popular utility vehicles has paid off for the auto major.
