As the festive season brings in robust demand, automotive giants Maruti Suzuki India and Tata Motors are gearing up for unprecedented retail sales in October.
Maruti, the country's largest carmaker, reported delivering approximately 30,000 units on Dhanteras, with expectations of another 10,000 deliveries. Partho Banerjee, Maruti's Senior Executive Officer for Marketing & Sales, expressed confidence in record-breaking sales, projecting deliveries of around 2 lakh units, surpassing the previous high of 1,91,476 units in October 2020.
Tata Motors has seen a 30% increase in registrations compared to the prior year and anticipates its highest-ever October registrations, with over 15,000 vehicles delivered on Dhanteras. Mercedes-Benz India and Kia India also report significant festive sales, alongside JSW MG Motor's EV deliveries in Delhi-NCR.
