Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. has announced the launch of the second batch of its groundbreaking Saksham program, aimed at empowering women in the electrical industry. In collaboration with Tata Strive, the program provides young women from underserved communities with specialized training in non-traditional STEM roles, fostering a more inclusive future.

The Saksham program continues its mission to bridge the gender gap in the electrical sector. By offering a comprehensive curriculum that combines classroom instruction with hands-on experience, it equips women with vital skills and confidence needed for technical roles. India's electrical industry has long struggled with gender disparity, fueled by societal stereotypes and limited access to training.

Through a partnership with Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal (MAVIM), Crompton ensures job placements for graduates, with a commitment from Tata Strive to a 70% placement rate. This three-month residential program, starting in January 2024, is certified by the National Skill Development Corporation. Crompton's ongoing dedication to energy-efficient products has earned it several prestigious awards, affirming its role as a leader in India's consumer electrical market.
