Lufthansa has prolonged the suspension of its flights to Tehran and Beirut, citing the potential for an expanded Middle East conflict as a key reason. This decision, announced on Wednesday, affects the airline's operations until early next year.
Flights to the Iranian capital, Tehran, will remain suspended through January 31, 2025, while those to the Lebanese city, Beirut, are put on hold until February 28, 2025. This move encompasses several airlines within the Lufthansa Group, including SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings.
SWISS Airlines, in a separate statement, confirmed the cancellation of its Beirut flights until January 18, 2025, to ensure greater certainty in planning for both passengers and crew members.
