Record-Breaking India Mobile Congress 2024: A Glimpse into the Future of Technology

The India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2024 drew to a successful close, hailed as the largest edition in Asia to date. The event saw over 1.75 lakh participants converging to witness groundbreaking developments in telecom, media, and technology. Co-hosted by the Department of Telecommunications and the Cellular Operators Association of India, the prestigious four-day event reinforced its status as a major platform for digital innovation.
The event, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, underscored the need for global standards in ethical AI and data privacy. Modi also emphasized India's emerging leadership in the race for 6G technology. With a massive participation of 310 partners and exhibitors, the congress included representation from 13 government ministries, 29 academic institutions, 920 startups, and delegates from 123 countries.
Attendees explored over 900 technology use cases, including 750 AI-powered applications, through 186 sessions featuring 820 global speakers. Key topics included 5G, 6G, AI, IoT, quantum computing, and more. Prominent figures like Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani graced the occasion. IMC CEO Ramakrishna P expressed pride in the event's success and highlighted its role in fostering collaboration on next-gen technologies.
