GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd, an integral player in Essar's green mobility push, is gearing up to expand its current fleet with the addition of 1,000 Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) powered trucks by March 2025. This development signals significant strides in decarbonizing India's logistics sector, disclosed a company executive.

Aligning with India's net-zero target by 2070, the nationwide shift toward using cooled gas for long-haul trucking fleets aims to mitigate pollution traditionally caused by diesel engines. GreenLine Mobility, currently managing over 500 LNG trucks, plans to bolster its fleet in alignment with increasing corporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) priorities.

The company's fleet plays a crucial role for top-tier clients including Vedanta Group, Tata Steel, and Reliance. Recent government policies also target converting a third of long-haul trucks to LNG by 2030. Boasting a substantial 30% CO2 emission reduction, GreenLine's efforts represent a key step in sustainable logistics progression.
