The Railway Ministry has unveiled plans for 'Rail Chaupal' events at stations across the nation, part of the Special Campaign 4.0, aimed at fostering community engagement and addressing public grievances. Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board, Satish Kumar, made the announcement during a meeting with senior railway officials.

The initiative will invite public participation in station cleanliness, and the safety of railway properties, supplementing existing grievance mechanisms like RailMadad. The campaign aims at enhanced digitisation, increased cleanliness, efficient use of space, and revenue from scrap disposal, as stated by the Railway Ministry.

The ministry emphasized inclusivity, ensuring involvement from women and individuals with disabilities. It also highlighted the importance of broadcasting campaign activities and successes through social media and local news outlets to boost public engagement and awareness.
