Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde hailed the BJP's recent electoral victory in Haryana, emphasizing his coalition's preparedness for the impending state elections. Speaking at the trial landing of a C295 IAF aircraft at Navi Mumbai International Airport, Shinde illustrated his government's commitment to initiating operations by March 2025.
The trial landing marks a key achievement for the airport, developed by the Adani Group, with commercial flights anticipated early next year. Once operational, the greenfield airport aims to alleviate congestion at Mumbai's current airport, underscored Shinde. Additionally, the newly built Atal Setu sea bridge enhances connectivity between Mumbai and the airport site, promising greater efficiency.
The Launch of the Navi Mumbai International Airport represents a significant development in Maharashtra's infrastructure plans. Shinde's 'flight and fight' analogy encapsulates both aviation advancements and the political jousting on the horizon as the state readies for elections.
