Manoj Kumar Dubey officially assumed his role as Chairman and Managing Director, as well as Chief Executive Officer, of the Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) on Thursday. The prestigious public sector unit operates under the Ministry of Railways.

Dubey is a 1993-batch Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) officer, who previously served as Director of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at the Container Corporation of India (CONCOR). His extensive experience is seen as a significant asset for IRFC's future.

Dubey expressed his commitment to aligning IRFC with India's broader economic goals, including the 'Viksit Bharat 2047' initiative introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also highlighted the corporation's strong financial position and market capitalisation as it plays a crucial role in advancing railway infrastructure in India.
