Tragic Crane Collision at Bhilai Steel Plant Claims Worker
A tragic incident at the Bhilai Steel Plant in Chhattisgarh resulted in the death of a 33-year-old contractual labourer, Basant Kurre, after two cranes collided, causing a stopper to fall on him. The accident occurred at Steel Melting Shop-3, and the police were alerted immediately.

A 33-year-old contractual labourer lost his life after two cranes collided at Bhilai Steel Plant in Chhattisgarh's Durg district. The collision caused a stopper to fall on the worker, a company spokesperson confirmed on Thursday.
The incident happened around 11 am at the Steel Melting Shop-3 of BSP, a critical unit of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). The victim, identified as Basant Kurre, succumbed to the injuries instantly.
Despite wearing a helmet, Kurre could not survive the accident. Local police have been notified of the unfortunate event, the spokesperson stated.
