Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) canceled a scheduled press conference on Thursday evening, meant to announce its second quarter performance, as company officials confirmed.
Initially set for 5:30 PM, TCS will now disclose its July-September results solely to the stock exchanges following their board meeting, officials stated. However, the call with analysts at 7 PM will proceed as planned.
The decision coincides with the demise of renowned industrialist Ratan Tata, whose last rites are arranged for Thursday in Worli, central Mumbai. Tata passed away on Wednesday evening in a city hospital.
