BJP MP Anurag Thakur has strongly criticized former Jammu-Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for canceling her campaign after the killing of Hezbollah commander Hassan Nasrallah. Thakur accused opposition parties like the National Conference, People's Democratic Party, and Congress of supporting terrorism rather than democracy.
Speaking to ANI, Thakur stated, "These are the parties that supported separatists, terrorists, and those involved in stone-pelting incidents. They are aware of what is happening in Gaza but are unable to see the plight of Hindus in Dhaka. It's unfortunate that political parties cancel rallies to appease their vote bank, siding with terrorism over democracy."
This criticism follows Mufti's decision to cancel her campaign in solidarity with the "martyrs of Lebanon and Gaza." Other leaders, including UP Minister OP Rajbhar and Former J-K Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, echoed Thakur's sentiments, denouncing Hezbollah and questioning Mufti's silence on Hindu attacks in Bangladesh.
