Mercedes-Benz Shatters Sales Records in India

Mercedes-Benz has achieved record-breaking sales in India, with a 13% increase to 14,379 units in the first nine months of 2024. The company saw a 21% rise in the September quarter and an 84% growth in battery electric vehicle sales, outperforming all other luxury brands in the market.

Mercedes-Benz, the renowned German luxury car maker, announced a remarkable rise in its sales figures in India, registering a 13% increase year-on-year. The company sold 14,379 units in the first nine months of 2024, marking their best-ever January to September performance.

The third quarter specifically saw significant growth, with 5,117 units sold, surpassing last year's figures by 21%. This success reflects the company’s strength amidst a challenging industry landscape.

Additionally, Mercedes-Benz India reported an 84% surge in battery electric vehicle sales, with 800 units sold in the January-April period, the highest by any luxury brand in the domestic market. The sales of top-end vehicles also increased by 18% during this time.
