The Ministry of Heavy Industries is teaming up with leading automotive industry bodies SIAM and ACMA to push forward the Automotive Mission Plan 2047, an initiative envisioned to elevate India's industrial prowess.

Speaking during the launch of the PM E-DRIVE Scheme, Kamran Rizvi, Secretary of the Ministry, announced the impending rollout of the PM E-BUS SEVA Payment Security Mechanism.

The PM E-BUS SEVA scheme, approved with a budget allocation of Rs 3,435 crore, aims to deploy over 38,000 electric buses between FY 2024-25 and FY 2028-29, supporting operations for up to 12 years from deployment.
