Northeast Frontier Railway Introduces 26 Special Trains for Festive Rush

The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will introduce 26 special trains over the next two months to handle the festive rush, according to an official statement released on Sunday. The initiative includes 254 trips this year, nearly doubling the number of special trains compared to last year.
These 13 pairs of special trains aim to ensure a smooth travel experience and accommodate extra passengers during the upcoming festivals of Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath Puja, running from October 1 to November 30.
The special trains will connect major destinations such as Amritsar, Bengaluru, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Kolkata, Anand Vihar, and Shri Ganganagar. They will also enhance connectivity within the region, reaching areas like Agartala, Naharlagun, Silchar, New Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, and Katihar.
