Team Korea Boosts Economic Ties in Puducherry with Strategic Collaboration

A high-level Korean delegation, dubbed Team Korea, arrived in Puducherry on September 26 to advance economic collaboration between the Union Territory and Korea. The delegation included officials from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, KOTRA India-Korea Business Cooperation Centre, and several other notable Korean institutions.

Team Korea hosted the '2024 Korea-India Joint CSR-Economic Cooperation Seminar' with the Confederation of Indian Industry's support. The seminar's primary goal was to fortify economic ties and identify potential areas for collaboration, spotlighting Puducherry’s advantages to Korean businesses.

Sungjoong CHO, Commercial Counsellor at the Korean Embassy in New Delhi, expressed confidence in the potential for comprehensive cooperative relations between Korea and Puducherry, citing the region's strategic location and skilled workforce. Key presentations highlighted the evolving global value chain and the mutual benefits of a robust partnership.
