A 45-year-old Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus driver was allegedly assaulted and forcefully bundled into a car by a group of men after he refused to let them overtake.

The incident was captured on video and went viral on social media, showing the men assaulting the driver, identified as Ram Gopal, and pushing him into their car.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (SouthWest) Rohit Meena, the police received a PCR call at 7.18 am regarding the assault, but the victim and accused later arrived at the police station. The incident took place near Safdarjung Hospital's bus stand, where the aggressors tried to overtake from the wrong side and assaulted Gopal when he didn't give way.

The men, identified as Mohammad Sohail, Mohammad Shariq, and Akbar Ali, dragged Gopal out of his bus, pushed him into their Wagon-R car, and assaulted him further while driving around the city before eventually taking him to the police station. The police have arrested all involved and are investigating further.
