In a significant crackdown, the Punjab Police announced on Sunday the dismantling of an interstate illegal gun module. The operation led to the arrest of 17 individuals and the seizure of 18 weapons, 66 cartridges, and 1.10 kg of heroin.
Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav stated that the operation, conducted by the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police, was carried out over two weeks. The arrested individuals were implicated in various heinous crimes and other criminal activities across multiple districts of Punjab.
Additionally, the accused were found providing logistical support and supplying weapons to gangs operating in Punjab and Haryana. This major breakthrough highlights the ongoing efforts of Punjab Police to combat organized crime in the region.
