Korean brand Daewoo on Monday declared its entry into the kitchen and home appliances segment in India, aiming to secure a larger portion of the expanding Indian market.

Entering the domestic market last year with a range of LED TVs, IFP LEDTVs, alkaline and battery inverters, Daewoo has witnessed significant success. This success has motivated the company to accelerate its journey in India, expanding its product portfolio to include smart kitchen and home appliances.

The products are expected to hit retail stores soon. Daewoo announced that it will offer an array of products, including induction plates, mixers, grinders, blenders, toasters, sandwich makers, and steam irons.

"The small home appliance market in India is vast, with opportunities for all. Consumers are increasingly leaning towards high-quality products backed by reliable after-sales services and warranties," said H S Bhatia, Managing Director of Daewoo India.

Daewoo also highlighted its strong presence in Northern and Western India, achieved within less than six months. The company now plans to extend its reach into Southern and Eastern markets.
