Delhi Introduces Premium AC Electric Buses with Advanced Features

Delhi is launching premium AC electric buses offering features like online seat booking, live tracking, and cashless payments to combat pollution and enhance public transport. Under the Delhi Premium Bus Scheme 2023, Uber Shuttle will serve key routes, contributing to a cleaner, greener city.

Delhiites will soon gain access to premium AC electric buses, allowing them to book seats up to a week in advance, track live bus locations, and make cashless payments.

On Wednesday, Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot inspected the first fleet of buses under the Delhi Motor Vehicles Licensing of Aggregator (Premium Buses) Scheme 2023, aimed at reducing pollution and improving public transport.

The initiative marks a significant step towards a greener Delhi, with Uber introducing its Shuttle service featuring air-conditioned buses on key routes, expected to alleviate traffic congestion and promote eco-friendly commuting.
