In a heart-wrenching incident, four Indian nationals lost their lives in a multi-vehicle road accident in the United States, authorities confirmed. Among the deceased were two residents of Hyderabad—Aryan Raghunath Orampatti and his friend Farooq Sheikh.
The accident, which involved five vehicles, unfolded on the northbound US 75 near Dallas, Texas. The Collin County Sheriff's Office reported that a speeding truck failed to slow down, striking the rear of the SUV carrying the victims. The impact led to a fire that trapped and killed the occupants.
Aryan and Farooq were returning from visiting Aryan's cousin. Fellow victims included Lokesh Palacharla, heading to see his wife, and postgraduate student Darshini Vasudev. Their families have been informed, and arrangements are underway to repatriate the bodies.
