In a heartbreaking incident early Tuesday, a specially customized bus for transporting students crashed into a group of schoolchildren and their parents in Tai'an city, Shandong province, China. The tragic accident claimed the lives of eleven people and left thirteen others injured, including one in serious condition, according to local police.
The group was gathered at the gate of a middle school just before 7:30 am when the accident occurred. The fatalities include six parents and five students. The driver responsible for operating the bus is currently in police custody, and an investigation into the incident is underway, officials said.
