IndiGo Launches Daily Flights to Jaffna from Chennai

Indian airline IndiGo has launched a daily flight service from Chennai to Jaffna, Sri Lanka, expanding its international routes. Jaffna becomes IndiGo's second destination in Sri Lanka and its 34th international destination overall.
The new direct flight service significantly reduces travel time between Chennai and Jaffna to just 75 minutes. IndiGo already operates over 2,000 flights to 122 destinations, both domestic and international.
This route is expected to foster stronger cultural and trade ties between India and Sri Lanka, according to IndiGo officials. The airline reported that last year, over 21,000 passengers traveled this route within nine months, underscoring the demand for this new service.
