Eicher Trucks and Buses Launches Incentive Program for Vehicle Scrappage

Eicher Trucks and Buses has introduced an incentive program to encourage customers to scrap old vehicles and purchase new ones. The scheme offers incentives for new vehicle buyers with a valid Certificate of Deposit from recognized scrappage centers. The program starts on September 1, 2024, and will last for two years.

Eicher Trucks and Buses, part of VE Commercial Vehicles, has introduced a new program to incentivize customers to scrap their old vehicles in favor of buying new trucks and buses.

According to the company's statement, buyers holding a valid 'Certificate of Deposit' from recognized scrappage centers can receive incentives between 1.25% to 3% of the base cost of a vehicle with equivalent payload or seat capacity to the scrapped unit.

If equivalent vehicles are unavailable, customers can purchase trucks or buses with higher or lower tonnage or seating capacity. The program, valid from September 1, 2024, will run for two years or until further notice.
