A case of alleged fraud involving the subletting of a villa has emerged in Maharashtra's Nashik district. The incident came to light after a local resident, Aniruddh Powar, reported being cheated of Rs 76,000.

According to the Trambakeshwar police, Powar owns the Mountain Mist Villa, a property he rents out to tourists. Recently, Chinmay Mungi rented this villa for a three-day event. Although Mungi initially paid Rs 31,800, he failed to clear the remaining Rs 76,200. The situation escalated when Powar found a third party occupying the villa, who claimed to have rented it through Mungi and Vidawat.

After attempts to recover the remaining payment proved unsuccessful, Powar approached the police. An FIR has been lodged against Mungi and Vidawat, and investigations are ongoing to bring the culprits to justice.
