The Indian Navy has successfully recovered the wreckage of the two-seater aircraft that went missing on August 20 from the Chandil dam in Jharkhand's Seraikela-Kharswan district, officials announced on Tuesday.

The aircraft, owned by Alchemist Aviation Private Limited, disappeared after taking off from Sonari Aerodrome in Jamshedpur. The bodies of pilot Capt. Jeet Satru and trainee pilot Subrodeep Dutta were recovered last Thursday by the NDRF team.

The Indian Navy began the search operation at Chandil dam around 10 am on Monday, having located the Cessna-152 aircraft a day earlier. By Monday night, Navy personnel, aided by a balloon, successfully pulled out the wreckage from a depth of 15-18 meters.
