Infosys CEO Salil Parekh has confirmed that all job offers extended to freshers will be honoured, although there have been adjustments to the joining dates.

This assurance comes after reports emerged that the company had postponed the onboarding of 2,000 fresh engineering graduates from the 2022-batch. The delay was significant enough to prompt NITES, a union representing IT employees, to file a complaint with the Ministry of Labour and Employment.

The union criticized Infosys for subjecting these graduates to prolonged delays, unpaid training programs, and unforeseen additional assessments since they received their offer letters in April 2022. Despite this, the company maintains that all hires will eventually join the organization, which currently employs 315,332 people globally as of June 2024.
