Ministry of Civil Aviation Relocates Railway Safety Commission HQ to New Delhi

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has relocated the office of Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety from Lucknow to New Delhi. The move aims to improve coordination with various government departments. The Commission, responsible for railway safety inspections and investigations, operates separately from the Railway Board under MoCA's authority.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has shifted the office of Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety from Lucknow to New Delhi, according to an official memorandum.

The memorandum, dated August 22, and signed by the Dy. Commissioner of Railway Safety, said the headquarters was moved to enhance coordination with government departments.

The Commission of Railway Safety, operating under the MoCA, focuses on rail travel safety, statutory inspections, investigations, and advisory functions, separate from the Railway Board.
