Tragic Bus Accidents Rock Nepal: Multiple Casualties and Injuries
On Friday, two major bus accidents in Nepal resulted in significant casualties and injuries. In Bharatpur, a boulder hit a passenger bus, injuring at least 25 people. In a separate incident, an Indian tourist bus veered off a highway into the Marsyangdi River, leaving 14 dead and 16 injured.

At least 25 people sustained injuries when a boulder struck a passenger bus in Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Nepal, on Friday. The collision caused the bus to overturn in the Satrakilo area at approximately 1:50 pm, according to local police reports.
Heading towards Pokhara from Gaur in the Rautahat district, the bus accident left two passengers in critical condition. The incident also caused a temporary halt in vehicular movement for several hours. The injured were subsequently taken to Bharatpur Hospital and Chitwan Medical College for treatment.
In a separate tragic event on the same day, authorities confirmed that 14 individuals perished and 16 others were injured when an Indian tourist bus plunged 150 meters into the Marsyangdi River. The bus, originating from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, was en route to Kathmandu from Pokhara when it veered off the highway in Aaina Pahara, Tanahun district.
