The Uttar Pradesh government has promptly dispatched an SDM to Nepal following a tragic bus accident involving over 40 Indian passengers.

According to a statement by Uttar Pradesh Relief Commissioner GS Naveen Kumar, the bus plunged around 150 meters into the Marshyandi River in Nepal's Tanahu District. The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 am and involved a bus registered in Uttar Pradesh and carrying passengers from Maharashtra.

Rescue operations are in full swing with 14 individuals rescued unconscious and 17 others rescued with injuries. The UP government is coordinating the rescue efforts with the MEA and local Nepali authorities.
