DMRC Achieves Tunneling Milestone: Chhatarpur-Aerocity Pathway Complete
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has successfully completed an 865-metre underground tunnel between Chhatarpur and Chhatarpur Mandir stations in just over five months. Using a 97-metre-long tunnel boring machine, DMRC tackled various challenges to achieve this milestone without disrupting existing infrastructure.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced the completion of an 865-metre underground tunnel connecting Chhatarpur and Chhatarpur Mandir stations on the Tughlakabad-Aerocity corridor.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena lauded this rapid achievement during the tunnel's breakthrough event, praising the efforts of DMRC's engineers and staff.
The TBM had to navigate challenges, including a 66 KV high-tension line and crossing beneath the Yellow Line viaduct, all without disrupting existing metro services.
