India-Africa Partnership: Growth Through Cooperation

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has identified Africa as a prime destination for investments, attributing this to the continent's rich natural resources, demographic advantage, and growing economic integration under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
He highlighted that India's advanced digital technologies and robust space program could significantly enhance cooperation between the two regions, with an emphasis on sustainable development.
Speaking at the CII's India-Africa Business Conclave, Dhankhar noted that initiatives like India's Duty-Free Tariff Preference (DFTP) scheme could foster mutual growth, particularly in sectors such as clean technology, climate-resilient agriculture, maritime security, and connectivity.
