Six individuals sustained injuries when an ambulance crashed into a container truck in Madhya Pradesh's Agar Malwa district, police reported on Monday.

The incident took place around 10 pm on Sunday while an injured person was being transported to Ujjain in a private ambulance, stated Sardar Singh, in charge of Tanodia police station.

'The ambulance rear-ended the container truck, resulting in six injuries. Two women and one man are in serious condition and were promptly hospitalized,' Singh added.

The ambulance driver, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, fled the scene and remains at large, authorities noted.
