Odisha's Path to Development: A Vision for 2047

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi outlined ambitious plans for the state’s future during the Independence Day celebration. Emphasizing pride and self-respect, Majhi unveiled development initiatives, industrial expansion, and enhanced sports facilities. The state aims to reach a $1.5 trillion economy by 2047, integrating health care services and creating employment opportunities.

In a stirring Independence Day address, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced transformative development plans for the state. Addressing the crowd after hoisting the Tricolour at Mahatma Gandhi Marg, Majhi stressed the importance of pride and self-respect in Odisha's journey toward progress.

Detailing the state's ambitious targets, Majhi announced a vision to attain a $1.5 trillion economy by 2047, with significant contributions from the semiconductor industry. The next two decades are projected to be a golden era for Odisha, marked by industrial growth and the Ideal Tribal Village scheme, aimed at uplifting 500 tribal villages.

The government also plans to build a state-of-the-art multipurpose stadium and fill 1.5 lakh vacant governmental posts. Additional initiatives include pension schemes for those imprisoned under the MISA Act, integration of Ayushman Bharat with Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana, and promoting sports talents through the 'Khel Ratna Khoja Abhiyan'.
