Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri engaged with Nepal's top leadership on Sunday to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation.
During his two-day visit, at the invitation of his Nepalese counterpart Sewa Lamsal, Misri paid courtesy calls to President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli. Discussions centered on enhancing India-Nepal relations across various sectors. The Indian Embassy in Nepal conveyed these deliberations through multiple posts on X.
Misri inaugurated a building of Nepal Bhasha Parishad in Kathmandu, funded by India's post-earthquake reconstruction grant, alongside Maniram Gelal, Secretary of Nepal's Urban Development Ministry. He also participated in a tree-planting campaign initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting India's commitment to environmental preservation.
