Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, led a pivotal interaction with industry leaders yesterday, aimed at strengthening dialogue between the government and key business stakeholders. The event underscored the government's commitment to creating a collaborative environment that fosters sustainable economic growth.

In his address, Shri Goyal emphasized the government's dedication to aligning policies with industry needs and addressing stakeholder concerns. He reassured participants of the government's ongoing efforts to cultivate a business-friendly environment. His speech highlighted the Ministry’s proactive approach in integrating industry feedback into future strategic planning.

The discussion covered a broad spectrum of topics, including regulatory reforms, trade, logistics, market demand, the supplier ecosystem, talent availability, policies, legal/IPR issues, and capital access. A survey conducted before the event helped identify key issues and concerns, ensuring that the agenda addressed the most critical topics.

During the session, PwC released a report proposing VIKSIT as a strategic framework to help India achieve its goal of $1 trillion in merchandise exports. The event saw participation from 100 industry stakeholders, including over 35 CEOs, CFOs, and CXOs from sectors such as ESDM, auto, chemicals, telecom, capital goods, textiles, and food processing.

The platform facilitated meaningful feedback and discussions, promoting networking and partnership-building across various sectors. It encouraged the exchange of ideas and best practices, leading to new business opportunities and strengthening existing relationships. The Ministry’s efforts highlighted the importance of collective action in driving economic progress and ensuring long-term sustainability.
