Absolute Sports Acquires DeltiasGaming.com to Strengthen US Presence

Nazara Technologies' subsidiary, Absolute Sports, is acquiring US-based gaming and esports content platform DeltiasGaming.com for Rs 7.5 crore. The acquisition will enhance Absolute Sports' reach, leveraging Deltia's sizable user base, and is expected to complete within 45 days. This move is poised to solidify their presence in the US gaming media sector.

Nazara Technologies' subsidiary Absolute Sports is set to acquire all assets of DeltiasGaming.com, an American gaming and esports content platform, for approximately Rs 7.5 crore, according to a release issued on Tuesday.

DeltiasGaming.com recorded revenues of USD 575,000 (about Rs 4.8 crore) for the twelve-month period ending June 2024.

Absolute Sports will use its cash reserves to finance the all-cash transaction, which will be paid in one or more tranches and is expected to close within the next 45 days.

In a statement, Absolute Sports—a Nazara Technologies subsidiary and the parent company of Sportskeeda.com, ProFootballNetwork.com, and SoapCentral.com—announced that it has signed an asset purchase agreement, subject to closing conditions, to acquire all assets of DeltiasGaming.com.

This strategic acquisition aims to solidify Absolute Sports' presence in the US gaming and esports media publishing sector. By leveraging Deltia's loyal user base of nearly 1.5 million monthly readers, the group seeks to establish itself as an authoritative voice in the industry.

The acquisition further provides Absolute Sports access to a substantial audience on platforms like YouTube and Twitch, strengthening its overall portfolio.

Ajay Pratap Singh, CEO of Absolute Sports, stated, "With this acquisition, Absolute Sports will now serve upwards of 5 million US gaming enthusiasts, offering high-quality gaming and esports-related news and analysis content across various properties."
