The Congress on Tuesday criticized Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw following a train derailment in Jharkhand, alleging a lack of accountability in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration after three accidents resulted in 17 deaths since June.
The Howrah-Mumbai Mail derailed in Jharkhand's Seraikela-Kharsawan district on Tuesday, killing two and injuring 20, officials reported. Congress leaders voiced their concerns on X, calling the minister a 'Fail Minister'.
Accidents in recent months have left hundreds injured, raising questions about safety measures and government response. Meanwhile, rescue operations continue at the site of the latest derailment, with NDRF teams dispatched for assistance.
